SWANSEA
TOURNAMENT 2008
On the 28th June 2008, Zen Basketball sponsored and supported
a tournament held in Swansea in South Wales.
The competition
was the brainchild of a local player, Bryan Culliford.
At the
end of the 2007/2008 season Bryan wanted to bring together
players from across South Wales to play in a fun competition
bonding players from all of the different teams.
Nearly 30
players from across South Wales joined in the day, where players
from different teams were mixed up to create scratch teams.
The
competition was still there, especially where normal team mates
faced each other, but first and foremost the day was fun with
only friendly banter being exchanged.
Players ranged from some
of the up and coming juniors to current members of the Welsh
Senior Mens team.
Zen Basketball was proud to be associated
with such a fun event and hope to continue this association
in the years to come. |
